This is your standard copy and pasted American Chinese take out joint. I would rate their food above average compared to others like them. They are very kind when taking your order and willing to accommodate special requests.
How to change my review unfortunately because the last couple of times of food is decreased and quality tremendously. This is a picture of what I got last night for $14. It was broccoli and rice and about four pieces of beef. I won’t be eating here anymore unfortunately
The food was just average. I did buy what most reviews recommended. The guy working all by himself was very nice. But the place was packed with people waiting. And I ordered online and then went to pick it up. Even doing this and showing up about 10 minutes after the time it said it would take online (because it still didn't say it was ready) I still waited nearly 40 additional minutes for it. The dish was sweeter than what I am used to for the dish. But everything except the egg roll seemed to be fresh. The restaurant appearance was very dirty walking in. The kitchen area seemed okay. Nothing that made me think I would get sick from the food. But walking into a dirty dining area is a little disheartening. I cannot say enough positive though about how nice the guy was. Apologizing for the time. Friendly, but doing everything. They need help in there. Interestingly, I did not see any signs on the door that they were hiring.

As a self admitted Chinese food addict who lived in the Lynchburg area for 30 years, you will not find a better sesame chicken and lo mein anywhere in town. I’ve worked in the food industry, and I speak from experience when I say that the guy who runs this place is like a superhero. Answering the phone, cooking the food, ringing up orders, dealing with customers. Always patient, always friendly. If you’re unsure where to go for Chinese food, please consider King House even if it is a little out of the way.
We ordered take out from here tonight and it was amazing!! Great quantities, kind owner, and really flavorful food. Will definitely be frequenting King House from now on!
